My latest network layout

So… I like playing around with my netoworks…
And today I finally had the time to achieve good results (and map it in Photoshop!)

Aren’t you limiting your imac’s internet connection to 100mb this way? Seems the gb switch should be connected directly to the firewall and 10/100 connected to gb switch. Or even better, eliminate the 10/100mb switch and configure (if possible – probably not) a few ports on the gb switch as 10/100 or auto for the EoP adaptor and wireless router.

Actually my network layout has changed quiet a lot since this post!

I now have a 12 port “Smart” Gbit switch on top of everything after the firewall!

And in any case the Gbit network was only used between the NAS and the iMac at the time, everything else was running at or belw 100 mbit :-)
